CELEBRATION OF 125TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF NETAJI SUBHAS CHANDRA BOSE

Malda, 24th January, 2022 : To pay homage to the great freedom fighter of India, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, like every this year also ABC High School celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in his 125th birthday in a befitting manner. On the occasion a cultural function was organised in the school premises. Preparation for this function had been going on for some days. For this, the school building was richly decorated with the pictures of the great person, colourful flags, flowers and festoons. A large number of students, teachers, ex-students including guardians attended the function. A dias was made Netaji Mancha was packed with students, guardians and enthusiasts. The headmaster of the institution, took the chair. The honourable M.L.A. of the locality was the chief guest. Other guests included the B.D.O. of the local block and two eminent social scholars. The function was started at about 10 A.M. with a patriotic song sung by some students in chorus. The notable guests present on the dias delivered their valuable speeches on the significance of the day. It was followed by a well-organised cultural programme which included essay competition, exhibition, seminars, recitation, songs, dances, drama, debate, quiz contest, sit and draw competition and instrumental music in which the students took part. The audience broke into claps repeatedly. By reciting a poem Atanu Bose, a student of class-x enthralled the audience. Lastly, a one-act play on the life of Netaji was staged by the students of class-ix. It captured the hearts all the present in the function. At the end of the function prizes were distributed among some ex-students, retired teachers and non-teaching staff and the winners. The president in his closing speech mentioned that why we should follow the ideals and teachings of Netaji in our life, and, at last, he declared the function end with a vote of thanks to the attendants.p
