AN INTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Malda, 24th December, 2023 : In collaboration with the honourable B.D.O. of the block and the reputed S.I. of schools, yesterday ABC High School hosted a one day Inter School Football Tournament at the school ground. Twelve football teams of twelve different schools of Malda block participated in this tournament. The opening of the tournament was an attractive part of the event. Standing on the ground all players of the participated teams wished each other by shaking hands. After that the honourable B.D.O. kicked the ball and opened the knock out matches. After the knock out part of the tournament, the thrilling final match was played between ABC High School and XYZ High School. It was a keenly contested match. The spectators encouraged the players of both teams for their good performance in the match. On the first half there was no goal from either side, but in the second half ABC High School team scored two goals. Hopna Tudu scored the two goals, and he was declared man of the match. The captain of ABC High School team, Joydev Kisku received the shield from the B.D.O., Mr Kishor Das who was the chief guest in the tournament. The captain of XYZ High School received the runner up shield from the respected S.I. of schools. The chief guest in his congratulatory speech stressed the need of development of the spirit of sportsmanship among the students. The headmaster became very happy for being his school host and winner of the tournament. He hoped he would host the tournament next year if his school got the chance. At last he declared the event end with a vote of thanks to the attendants.
