FREE HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP CONDUCTED BY ABC HIGH SCHOOL

Malda, 24th December, 2023 :‘Health is wealth’ keeping the proverb in mind, yesterday, ABC High School organized a one-day ‘Free Health Check-up Camp’ in the school auditorium. Some reputed doctors from different district hospitals were invited in this camp and they offered their voluntary services whole-heartedly. The teaching and the non-teaching staff of the school, a large number of students and some local interested people took part in the camp. There were two great specialists and two dentists in the camp. Under the supervision of a team of four reputed doctors of the health department of West Bengal the camp opened at 10 A.M. in the morning and successfully ended at 4 P.M. in the afternoon. From the beginning there was a long line of students and people who came from all over the locality to check up their health free of cost. A group of volunteers maintained the camp. Free medicines were also distributed among the poor people. At the end of the camp Dr V. K. Sivan, the chief guest of the camp, in his brief speech congratulated and appreciated the school’s initiative programme. He advised all to take care of their most precious wealth–their health. He also mentioned some general means to preserve their health. He indicated physical exercises as the most important means to preserve both physical and mental health free of cost. At last the headmaster in his speech thanked all whole-heartedly who directly and indirectly helped the school to make such an organization successful. All the participants praised the school administration for organizing such an initiative programme.

All the members of the club, a large number of students from the local nearby schools and some local interested people took part in this camp. There was an announcement for the camp in the poor slum areas. There were two great specialists and two dentists in the camp.
