DENGUE DETECTION CAMP ORGANIZED BY ABC HIGH SCHOOL

Malda, 27th October, 2023 : In view of the epidemic disease Dengue in the state and with the aim of combating the deadly disease yesterday the Health Awareness Club of ABC High School organized a camp for detecting Dengue among students and local common people. Students and teachers and some local interested people participated in this camp enthusiastically. The headmaster of the school graced the chair and Mr John Lewis, a famous heart specialist in the government hospital was the chief guest in the camp. At first under the guidance of the teachers, the students took out a rally with placards to spread awareness among the masses. After that a group of four eminent physicians from different district hospitals started their blood collection process among students and local people. The blood collection process ran from 11 P.M. to 3 P.M. At the end of the blood collection it was seen that about five hundred people had their blood tested. After clinical investigation it was revealed that out of 500 people 125 were positive. All the participants were handed over medical reports. The detected dengue patients, however, treated and prescribed medicines by doctors. The doctors suggested necessary steps to prevent this disease. At the end the chief guest in his brief but valuable speech stressed that we should follow the necessary steps to prevent this kind of disease. He also thanked the headmaster for organizing such a camp. Finally the headmaster declared the successful end of the camp with a promise for organizing such a camp again in near future.
