SAFE DRIVE, SAVE LIFE CAMPAIGN ON THE OCCASION OF THE TRAFFIC SAFETY WEEK

Malda, 26th July, 2023 : On the occasion of the Traffic Safety Week, yesterday, ABC High School observed ‘Safe Drive, Save Life’ campaign in the school campus with great eagerness. To make accident safety country the West Bengal government launched this campaign. In response to the notification of the West Bengal government, yesterday the school observed this programme. The programme was for the awareness of road safety, a most important sensitive component today on road. On this occasion the school campus was richly decorated with flowers, festoons and placards bearing slogans on the topic. The students and the teachers joined a procession with placards on road safety. A cultural function was also arranged on the occasion. A large number of students, teachers, ex-students including guardians attended the function. The function was started with an opening song sung by some students in chorus. Then followed a number of events like quiz, debate, recitation, making project, essay writing etc. were arranged for all. The headmaster, the chief guest, some teachers and students in their valuable speeches highlighted the significance of this campaign. At the end of the programme the attendants took an oath that all must obey the traffic rules, and patiently drive the car to make far safer roads for others, and remember while riding motorbike helmet is a must. The programme successfully ended at 4 P.M. with the concluding speech of the headmaster.

To make accident safety country the West Bengal government launched this campaign. In response to the notification of the West Bengal government, yesterday the Barrackpore District Police Commission observed this programme. The programme was for the awareness of road safety, a most important sensitive component today on road. On this occasion the district police campus was richly decorated with flowers, festoons and placards bearing slogans on the topic. The district police, a group of students, some teachers and some interested people joined a procession with placards on road safety. A cultural function was also arranged on the occasion. A large number of local enthusiastic people attended the function. The function was started with an opening song sung by some students in chorus. Then followed a number of events like quiz, debate, recitation, making project, essay writing etc. arranged for all. The headmaster, the chief guest, the police commissioner, some police officers, some teachers and students in their valuable speeches highlighted the significance of this campaign. At the end of the programme the attendants took an oath that all must obey the traffic rules, and patiently drive the car to make far safer roads for others, and remember while riding motorbike helmet is a must.
