COVID-19 AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Malda, 22nd September, 2023 : With the aim of combating the deadly virus COVID-19, yesterday ABC High School organized a campaign which covered COVID-19 awareness activities. The day saw students and teachers of the school participating enthusiastically, joining hands against the terror of this dangerous virus. Under the guidance of the headmaster of the school, Mr Raja Basak, a special rally was flagged off to spread awareness among the masses about this harmful virus and its prevention measures such as refraining from shaking hands and hugging others. The main focus of the campaign was to create an awareness on the use of masks, frequently washing hands, using sanitizers, and also on maintaining social distance. Students did door to door campaigning, advocating the message–“We can win against COVID-19.” The response of the residents of the local people was very encouraging. Students vociferated slogans and distributed informative pamphlets to the passers-by to spread awareness. Dr Anu Asri, medical officer of the school, conducted a workshop on the day to acquaint the students and teachers about the symptoms, prevents and remedial measures of COVID-19 thereby encouraging the students to spread awareness about the virus among the masses.
